Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and has Chinese heritage, yet her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from the Southern part of the family. Olivia's parents divorced at the age of two. She was raised by her mother who was with the United States Air Force, and her stepfather. The family left Oklahoma, and lived in various locations, however she lived the majority of her life in Tokyo. At the time, she participated in many performances of the local theater, and eventually became an Japanese Fashion model. Olivia has been living with her parents in Los Angeles in order to fulfill her desire to become an actress, continued to work towards that goal even after her family moved back to America. Olivia's career began to take off after a couple of tiny roles. She landed the part of Mily in Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2005) as well as the role of receptionist in the film Big Stan starring Rob Schneider in Big Stan (2006). She hosts the podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut", and "The Daily Nut". Surfing is her passion and she has been practicing since her TV show Beyond the Break (2006). Additionally, she holds black belts in Taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother got married. This time she married the son of a US Air Force serviceman. Despite the fact that family members moved around lot, her mother raised her primarily in Tokyo in Japan, where she stayed with the military. She attended at the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major with minors in Japanese and drama art.
