Zoe-perry
Perry is born July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. Perry was forbidden to begin acting in front of her family until she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the anxiety it could cause. Perry was shy in high-school and did not act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was transferred from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry went into New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought Perry back home to California where she found acting jobs. She and her mother starred on Broadway with her as part of The Other Place, in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017, she had a minor role on the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her father. In the same year, she portrayed a child model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother in a youthful version. Despite having a family connection to the character she received the part through an audition.
