Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress, and songwriter for many years. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by a lot of Americans. As she entered the 9th grade she started to feel more confident when she was applauded by her teachers when she sang at the school's audition. The singer not only gained confidence because of the experience and gained experience, but also changed her plans for her career. She graduated at the age of 22 with a degree from the Julliard School in New York. At the age of 23 she made her debut at the Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from her performance as The Lady of The Lake, in the original Broadway production of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her performance. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. The actress is also a renowned singer and has published an extended version of her play. She also works as an LGBT activist.
